left...right...left

Enough has been written about the current cartoon controversy that has engulfed a large part of the world. What has amazed me most is the way reactions have come in both US and India.

Having read/watched a lot of opinions, I like to think that the I can decipher the trademark 'leftwing' and 'rightwing' response to most incidents having a political fallout.

This case was pretty intersting though. Vir Sanghvi, a self proclaimed liberal found himself on the same side of arguments as Tavleen Singh, one of the few decidedly right wing columnists in India.

Pat Buchanan broke with the run of the mill right wing response in the US and slammed the Europeans for publishing the cartoons.
